FUE Hair Transplant

Opulence Chicago uses the NeoGraft® system for follicular unit extraction, or FUE. Individual hair follicles are removed from the donor area and placed where thinning or hair loss has occurred.

What is procedure day like?
Procedures generally begin in the morning and typically finish between 2 and 5 PM, depending on the number of zones treated. Lunch is provided, and Opulence Chicago states there are no travel restrictions afterward.
What is the recovery?
Some scabbing and redness may be present during the first 14 days. Light activity may resume after a few days and normal activities after about two weeks. New growth generally begins around 12 weeks and can continue for 12 to 15 months.
How is pricing determined?
The number of grafts and procedure pricing are determined during the consultation based on the desired coverage area, candidacy and treatment plan.
PRP for Hair
Platelet-rich plasma is prepared from a small sample of your own blood. The platelet-rich portion is separated and used to support the health and thickness of hair in areas experiencing loss or thinning.
How is the treatment performed?
A small amount of blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge to separate its components. The platelet-rich plasma is then used as part of the hair-restoration treatment.
Who may benefit from PRP?
Opulence Chicago typically suggests PRP for preventing hair loss or addressing earlier stages of thinning. Your provider will determine whether PRP or another option fits your needs.
How many sessions are recommended?
A series of three treatments is often recommended. Opulence Chicago notes that maintenance treatments are typically scheduled every six to nine months until the desired results have been achieved.
Scalp Care
Opulence Chicago offers non-surgical scalp treatments that may be used on their own, in preparation for another hair treatment or as ongoing maintenance after a transplant.
De|Rive with Lutronic Ultra
De|Rive is a topical, non-invasive scalp treatment. It may be used alone or paired with Lutronic Ultra to support delivery into the scalp. Opulence Chicago follows a four-treatment protocol scheduled during months one, two, three and six.
Keravive Scalp HydraFacial
- Exfoliates the scalp with light suction
- Infuses peptides and hydration

Scalp micropigmentation

Hair growth timeline
Growth rates vary from person to person. This is the general timeline Opulence Chicago provides for FUE hair-transplant recovery.
Months 0–3
Transplanted hairs begin to shed as the follicles enter a resting phase. The follicles remain embedded in the scalp.
Months 3–6
New growth begins. Early hair may appear thin or curly and the transplant area may still look patchy.
Months 6–9
More noticeable growth and thickening generally begin during this stage.
Months 9–12+
Hair continues to thicken. Growth may continue for 12 to 15 months after the procedure.

What is the shedding phase?
The newly transplanted hairs typically shed within two to six weeks. This is temporary. The follicles remain in the scalp and new growth generally begins after about three months.
Is follow-up care included?
Opulence Chicago provides post-procedure care, an aftercare kit and ongoing check-ins. The team also advises patients on maintenance options such as PRP or De|Rive.
